Régnié is one of the 10 Beaujolais Crus,
the region is at the northern end of the Rhône department and to the south of Burgundy.
The vines spread over 55 km (34 miles), from north to south, between the cities of Mâcon and Lyon.
Just 40 minutes from the capital of gastronomy, Beaujolais is popularly known as ‘Lyon’s vineyard’ or ‘Lyon’s third river’!
Cru Régnié vineyards are mainly to be found on the commune of Régnié-Durette though a small area is in that Lantignié.
The Beaujolais region boasts really divers
landscapes, made up of woods, plains and slopes.
Nature here is rich and generous, mountainous to the north,
with rolling countryside to the south, bringing Tuscany to mind, bathed in the light of its golden stone.
